This product is water dilutable and can be easily incorporated into the water phase of a skin care formulation. DOWSIL 7-3100 Emulsion has been prepared with nonionic surfactants to provide maximum compatibility in formulations that contain other surfactants.

XIAMETER(TM) PMX-200 Silicone Fluid 500 cSt is a polydimethylsiloxane polymer. It spreads easily on both skin and hair, and it imparts a soft and velvety feel in personal care applications.

DOWSIL(TM) EL-9241 DM Silicone Elastomer Blend is a mixture of crosslinked silicone elastomer in non-volatile dimethicone fluid. It provides a silky smooth and long lasting feel on the skin. XIAMETER(TM) PMX-200 Silicone Fluid 12,500 cSt is a high-viscosity polydimethylsiloxane polymer manufactured to yield essentially linear polymers in a wide range of viscosities. The viscosities generally used in formulating polishes are in the range of 100 to 30,000 cSt. It is preferable to use a blend of a low-viscosity fluid and a high-viscosity fluid (e.g. 3 parts XIAMETER(TM) PMX- 200 Silicone Fluid 100 cSt and 1 part XIAMETER(TM) PMX-200 Silicone Fluid 12,500 cSt) to obtain optimum results in terms of ease of application and depth of gloss. The low-viscosity silicone fluid acts as a lubricant to make polish application and rubout easier, whereas the high-viscosity silicone fluid produces a greater depth of gloss. Since these polymers are inherently water-repellent, they will cause water to bead up on a treated surface rather than penetrate the polish film.

ACULYN(TM) 2051 Rheology Modifier is an inverse (water-in-oil) emulsion of sodium polyacrylate in dimethicone. This emulsion contains two surfactants, one to stabilize the thickening agent and the other to help bring the polymer into contact with the aqueous phase of the formulation. When the product is added to water, the polymer expands into the water phase to thicken and give stability to the preparation. As the formulation thickens, the oil-phase ingredients are emulsified and stabilized.
