Aliphatic Polyurethane Topcoat

SETALUX® 17-1746, an acrylic polyol, is formulated for use with aliphatic poly-isocyanates in 2-component coating systems, producing a robust coating with excellent chemical and abrasion resistance. This acrylic polyol ensures a hard, durable finish with outstanding gloss, color retention, and overall durability. The addition of a tin catalyst (0.01–0.05% based on resin solids) enhances film properties. Cimbar BF is chemically inert and is an excellent choice as a filler in corrosion resistant applications, flame retardant applications, and applications that require excellent weather resistance. Moreover, Cimbar BF exhibits superior thermal stabilty up to 1580 °C. It is therefore recommended for use in heat resistant applications.
