SABIC's Specialties Business NORYL PPE 640 powder is a medium-high molecular weight polymer based on Polyphenylene Ether (PPE). This material is intended for use as an additive or a building block in a variety of thermoplastics and thermoplastic elastomers such as Styrenic Block Copolymers. PPE powder can be used to improve properties (i.e. Heat Distortion and Creep Resistance). It is hydrolytically stable and non-hydroscopic (typically less than 0.2% water uptake). The polymer is soluble in common organic solvents like toluene, chloroform, and THF. ULTEM 1000F3SP powder is a RoHS compliant polyetherimide (PEI) powder offering a glass transition temperature (Tg) of 217ºC. This FDA compliant powder is available in a spherical shape with an average particle size (D50) of 15 micron and a maximum particle size (D100) of 75 micron.

This material contains non-halogenated flame retardant and performance capable of meeting UL VW-1 requirements, 80C end use temperature rating, and heat deformation performance as defined by UL 1581. FLEX NORYL™ WCD891B resin is intended for evaluation in wire and cable applications in dark colors. It has a Shore A Hardness reading of 89 and exhibits superior thermal stability, very low water absorption, good electric properties, and low specific gravity. Processing is typically conducted on standard extrusion equipment, and UL 1581 testing is conducted on 2.0mm wire with 0.12mm X 20 stranded copper conductor. This injection moldable grade was designed for improved dimensional stability and flow. This grade contains non-brominated, non-chlorinated flame retardant and carries a UL94 flame rating of 5VA at 2.5mm and V0 at 1.5mm along with impact strength, very low moisture absorption, excellent dimensional stability, and good electrical properties. NORYL™ N1050 resin is an excellent candidate for a variety of applications requiring electrically insulating properties, low moisture absorption and low warpage.

SABIC's Specialties Business LEXAN EXL1112A polycarbonate (PC) siloxane copolymer resin is a high flow opaque injection molding (IM) grade. This resin offers good low temperature (-20 C) ductility in combination with excellent processability and release with opportunities for shorter IM cycle times compared to standard PC. LEXAN EXL1112A resin is a product available in wide range of opaque colors and may be an excellent candidate for a wide variety of applications.
