SABIC's Specialties Business ULTEM 1010P Resin is an unreinforced amorphous polyetherimide (PEI) powder. This powder is available with an average particle size (D50) of 350 micron. It may offer a high glass transition temperature (Tg) of 217°C. It has a lower molecular weight then 1000P. Features are excellent mechanical, electrical and dimensional properties up to high temperatures. The may offer very good chemical resistance for an amorphous material and is inherently flame retarded. The material is RoHS Compliant. The base material is transparent amber colored. SABIC's Specialties Business ULTEM™ Resin 1000 is an unreinforced amorphous polyetherimide (PEI) resin that offers a high glass transition temperature (Tg) of 217°C. It features excellent mechanical, electrical, and dimensional properties at high temperatures. The material also offers very good chemical resistance for an amorphous material and is inherently flame retardant, offering UL94 V0 and 5V ratings and aerospace FAR 25.853 compliance. The material is RoHS-compliant, and the natural, uncolored material is halogen-free according to standards IEC 61249-2-21, IPC 4101E, and JEDEC JS709B. Compliance needs to be checked case by case for colored variants. The base material is transparent amber-colored but is also available in custom colors, both transparent and opaque. ISCC+-certified renewable bio-based solutions are available for this grade via differentiated color nomenclature. SABIC's Specialties Business ULTEM™ Dielectric Film UTF120 provides solutions for small to medium-sized, professional-grade capacitors, up to 10 microfarads in capacitance, to meet challenging industry requirements. The film exhibits stable properties across a range of temperatures (-40°C to +150 °C) and frequencies, including stable capacitance, good insulation resistance, a stable dielectric constant (Dk), and a low dissipation factor (Df). ULTEM™ Dielectric Film UTF120 has been validated by customers for use with both film-foil and metalized electrodes, including flat aluminum, heavy edge/light body, and fused/patterned electrode designs. It also offers excellent handling through metallization, winding, and capacitor squashing/flattening. Capacitors using this film are capable of passing industry-standard 260°C reflow soldering processes. It is available in 4, 5, 7, and 10-micron gauges and sold in 620mm x 5000m size rolls.
