Product Highlights

Sorbitan esters are 100% naturally derived from sorbitan and fatty acids, making them readily biodegradable and environmentally friendly. Sorbitan is derived from sugar, and can be esterified with one, two or three fatty acids to form oil soluble compounds. The fatty acids are derived from select natural fats and seed oils to provide the desired physical and performance properties.

LUBRICIT sorbitan esters are industrial grade additives used as emulsifiers and lubricity additives in metalworking and textile lubricant applications. They are also widely used as surfactants for industrial cleaners and degreasers. Select sorbitan esters are water-in-oil emulsifiers and stabilizers finding use in pharmaceutical, personal care and cosmetic applications.
