Elastomers

Elastomers EPR is an oil and solvent resistant off-white colorable polymeric composition in pellet form, based on EPDM rubber containing peroxide curing agent, ready for extrusion in a conventional CV or dry cure extrusion line. Cables jacketed with this compound are recognized for balanced properties including excellent heat and deformation resistance at high temperatures, oil resistance, and superior mechanical properties and is suitable for operation up to 450F (230C) in appropriate cable construction when extruded and cured consistent with industry standards.

Elastomers Part A are a black product for photovoltaic wet manufacturing processes requiring a wide range of chemical resistance. Elastomers Part A provides an excellent combination of properties (resistance to acids/bases) and is the product of choice for wet processes as an upgrade from standard elastomers, i.e., FKM, NBR, EPDM, etc. A maximum service temperature of 230°C is suggested.

Elastomers Part C is an exceptionally skin-compatible protective film made from cross-linked silicone rubber,specially developed for the healthcare industry. The ultrathin film is showing constant electrical resistance and goodcomparative tracking resistance across a broad range of temperatures. The width is 250 mm and thickness is given in μm(xxx). xxx stands for¢ 20 μm 50 μm 100 μm 200 μm 400 μm Elastomers Part C is also available with a thickness of¢ 10 μm and¢ 15 μm.The thickness variation over the entire width is +/- 1 μm.
