- WACKER® ELASTOMER 6 N can be used neat, from solution, or emulsion. Suitable solvents for WACKER® ELASTOMER 6 N are aliphatic and aromatic hydrocarbons, chlorinated hydrocarbons, esters, higher alcohols, and ketones. The fluids can be reacted with other components neat, in solution, in emulsion, or on the finished textile using appropriate conditions.
- The reactive WACKER® ELASTOMER 6 N primarily are suitable for intermolecular crosslinking for achieving the desired increase in elasticity.
- Reactive silicones serve not only to improve the properties of the material, but also the processing conditions. For example, they are used in the finishing of jeans and in pigment printing. They also produce ideal lustrous effects on almost all materials and allow for special effects to be obtained in elastomeric finishing of fibrefill, knit goods and machine washable wool.
- WACKER® ELASTOMER 6 N are used in following applications of the textile auxiliary industry:
- Lustrous effects
- Finishing of jeans
- Pigment printing
- Waterproofing
- Elastomeric finishing of
- Fibrefill
- Knitgoods
- wool (machine washable)
