Processing
- SIPELLĀ® RE 55 M should be diluted with aprotic solvents to a concentration of 5-10%. Water containing solvents and alcoholes need to be avoided, in order to prevent deactivation of the catalyst. Appropriate solvents are e. g. white spirit, aromatic hydrocarbons, esters or ketones. Impregnation of the leather is made by spraying, padding or brushing. The impregnation effect appears after evaporation of the solvent. Full effectiveness is achieved after some days.
- SIPELLĀ® RE 55 M should not be used in impregnation sprays as the exposition to aerosol may have hazardous effects.

SIPELLĀ® RE 55 M is a highly efficient silicone-based water repellent for leather with incorporated catalyst. The product can be diluted with aprotic organic solvents like ketones, hydrocarbones etc. It is suitable for the post-treatment of leather goods, safety cloths and sports shoes.
