LIOSILĀ® FC 130 E is a nonionic macro emulsion of a self-dispersing polyether-amino-functional silicone fluid, specifically designed for fabric softeners. It is used in combination with conventional fabric softeners to enhance their properties. LIOSILĀ® FC 130 E can be easily mixed with fabric softeners. Its selected functionality significantly improves the hydrophilicity of fabrics, leading to a substantial increase in water absorbency.

Application Details
  • LIOSILĀ® FC 130 E is combined with conventional fabric softeners and improves the properties of the fabric softeners.
  • LIOSILĀ® FC 130 E is easy to mix with fabric softeners. Due to the selected functionality of LIOSILĀ® FC 130 E the hydrophilicity of the fabrics are improved significantly, by which the water absorbency is increased.
  • LIOSILĀ® FC 130 E improves the softening efficacy of fabric softeners and the fabrics get a significant softer and pleasant touch.

Processing

  • 20.0 parts esterquat, e.g. Stepantex VK 90 (50Ā°C) are poured slowly into
  • 77.6 parts demineralized water (50Ā°C) while stirring until the mixture is homogenous.
  • 0.4 parts CaCl2 solution (25%) are added ā€¢ q.s. perfume, dye, preservative are added
  • 2 parts LIOSILĀ® FC 130 E are added while stirring at elevated temperature until the formulation is homogenous.

Dosage recommendation: Ca. 1 - 3 % LIOSILĀ® FC 130 E in the fabric softener formulation. The dosage of LIOSILĀ® FC 130 E in the fabric softener depends on the expected effects. The level of organic softener can be reduced in favor of LIOSILĀ® FC 130 E.
