Arabian Cotton™

Photoinduced aging or photoaging is the result of an accumulation of damage (photo damage) that modifies the cutaneous appearance to a greater or lesser extent. The most recent trend in photoprotection is to study the existence of a complementary process, whereby the natural photobiological compounds (Arabian Cotton™) would show the ability to act on the photodynamic targets (as secondary filters), protecting the cell metabolism and inhibiting inflammatory and degenerative processes whose result is known as photoinduced aging.

• Arabian Cotton™ is an active enriched in defensive plant molecules that protect and repair cell structures against sun damage. It provides photoprotection against UV, IR, and VIS radiation, and fights against photo-aging with a broad-spectrum antioxidant effect.
• Gossypium herbaceum, the Arabian Cotton™, is an extremophile native plant from semi-arid regions of sub-Saharan Africa and Arabia. Due to the hard environmental conditions, Arabian Cotton has developed a great diversity of defensive molecules (phenols and flavonoids) that help the plant cell to protect and repair its structures against sun damage.

• Arabian Cotton™ is a natural product, so color or transparency may evolve slightly after production without affecting its properties. After some time, a precipitate appears. Being the product a suspension of cells in a liquid medium, this is completely normal and can be solved by shaking well before use.
