Vinkocide® KN

Vinkocide® KN is a formulation containing 1,2-benzisothiazolin-3(2H)-one (BIT) alongside Pyridine-2-thiol 1-oxide, sodium salt (NaPT). It is highly suitable for preserving a diverse range of products due to its commendable properties. Demonstrating excellent compatibility with most products and raw materials, it offers broad-spectrum antimicrobial action against bacteria, fungi, and yeasts. With remarkable chemical stability and long-term efficacy, it proves effective even in challenging conditions where other products may fail. It is particularly ideal for aqueous and water-miscible systems, maintaining clarity as a clear, aqueous solution. Stable at pH levels up to 13 and temperatures up to 90°C, it ensures reliable preservation. However, caution is advised regarding potential discoloration in the presence of high levels of heavy metals. It finds utility as a preservative in various applications, including the preservation of manufactured products during storage and in working or cutting fluid preservation.
