- Product Applications
- Vinkocide® BIT PE is used for the preservation of water-containing chemical-technical products, such as detergents and cleaning agents.
- Products used for the preservation of manufactured products, other than foodstuffs or feeding stuffs, in containers by the control of microbial deterioration to ensure their shelf life.
- Application Notes
- In many cases Vinkocide® BIT PE can be used as the only preservative.
- Vinkocide® BIT PE is highly suitable for the preservation of a wide variety of aqueous products due to their good properties:
- good stability at high pH (2 - 10)
- good stability at high temperatures (max. 60°C)
- Excellent suitability for the preservation of a wide range of aqueous formulations. Experience has shown that the compatibility with most products is excellent. Especially redox agents or oxidizing
- Substances can affect the product stability. However, we recommend testing specific formulations for compatibility.
- Under normal conditions, 0.25 - 1.00% (w/w) is sufficient for most applications. Harmless diskoloration may occur in this use concentration range. In very rare cases, however, a high concentration of metal salts can cause colored metal complexes formation.
