Product Features

Vinkocide® BDA 30 is a broad-spectrum biocidal products based on the active N-[3-Aminopropyl]- N-dodecylpropane-1,3-diamine :

  • Free of aldehydes, halogens
  • Good surfactant property
  • Compatible with non-ionic and cationic surfactants
  • Effective against gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria
  • Effective against enveloped viruses such as Hepatitis-B[HBV]
  • High efficacy even at low temperatures and in the presence of heavy organic soil, such as blood and protein
  • Stable across a wide range of pH levels
  • Suitable as disinfectants and algaecides not intended for direct application to humans or animals
  • Not classified neither as mutagen nor carcinogen nor sensitizing substance
  • RSPO-MB certified product
Formulation Guidelines
  • Vinkocide® BDA 30 can be used alone or in combination with other biocides to formulate wide range of products for disinfection application.
  • To increase the biocidal spectrum and activity it is recommended to formulate Vinkocide® BDA 30 in combination with a chelating agent and QACs.
  • By increasing the pH value in the Vinkocide® BDA 30 based formulation, an increase in performance can be observed.
  • We recommend checking for chemical/physical stability and biocidal performance.
  • Vinkocide® BDA 30 is compatible with non-ionic and cationic surfactants however not compatible with aldehydes (e.g. in perfume). The presence of anionic substances may lead to decreased efficacy.

Application Notes
  • PT 2 applications:
    • Different standard efficacy tests for surface disinfection were performed with a protein load of 0.03% bovine albumin and water hardness 170 dH:
    • EN 1276, bactericidal efficacy: passed at 120 ppm (active ingredient) for all the 4 test organisms.
    • EN 1650, yeasticidal efficacy: passed at 90 ppm (active ingredient) for Candida albicans.
    • EN 13697 (surface test without mechanical action for bactericidal and yeasticidal efficacy): passed for all 5 test organisms at 450 ppm (active ingredient) if 0.03% bovine albumin was used as protein load for Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
  • PT 6 applications: 0.01 – 0.21% (active ingredient) could be sufficient.
  • PT 11 applications: 0.0005 - 0.002% (active ingredient) could be sufficient.
  • PT 12 applications: 0.04% (active ingredient) could be sufficient. In oilfield applications: 5 – 200 ppm (active ingredient) could be sufficient.
  • PT 13 applications: 0.05 – 0.25% (active ingredient) for water miscible MWF or technical emulsions or even 1- 4% (active ingredient) for MWF concentrates could be sufficient.

Storage & Handling

Shelf Life
2 years
Storage Conditions

Storage below settling point/melting temperature (< 5°C) will cause solidification or haze of the product. In such cases warm the material with agitation to 30°C to 40°C, ensuring adequate ventilation to prevent pressurization, but not leaving the container fully open to the atmosphere as excessive handling and/or leaving the container open to the atmosphere may result in Carbamate formation and hence the clarity will not be achieved.

The quality of the homogenized material should not be affected.

The product must be stored in the original sealed container over a period up to two years after manufacturing date.
