Vikram Resins and Polymers is a Bangalore-based manufacturer of Unsaturated Polyester Resins and Gelcoats that was founded by Mr. Prakash Rupani in 1988. Mr. Rupani started the Company in order to diversify his family’s business of processing groundnut, cottonseed and sunflower seeds, which was established by his father late Shri Hemandas Rupani in 1948, under the name of Alimchand Topandas Oil Mills at Adoni (A.P), and later, Prakash Trading Company at Veraval (Gujrat).

Over the last two decades, Vikram Resins has firmly established itself as a leading resin player in south Indian market. Vikram Resins and Polymers VRP 2121 is a medium reactive Orthophthalic Acid based Unsaturated Polyester Resin designed for lamination purposes. It has a low viscosity, good wetting, good mechanical properties, and is fast curing. VRP 2121 is suitable for hand lay-up, RTM, and other molding techniques and can be supplied as a pre-accelerated, thixotropic, or low viscosity resin.

Vikram Resins and Polymers VRP 2151 is a medium reactive superior grade Orthophthalic Acid based Unsaturated Polyester Resin. It has a very low viscosity, excellent wetting, good weather resistance, and is fast curing. VRP 2151 is suitable for making translucent rooflite sheets and can be supplied in UV stabilized and pre-accelerated versions.

Vikram Resins and Polymers VRP 2112 is a medium reactive superior grade Orthophthalic Acid based Unsaturated Polyester Resin. It has low viscosity, good wetting, good mechanical properties, and is fast curing. VRP 2112 is suitable for hand lay-up, RTM, and other molding applications and can be supplied as a pre-accelerated, thixotropic, or low viscosity resin.

Vikram Resins and Polymers VRP 2025 is a highly flexible Orthophthalic Acid based Unsaturated Polyester Resin that contains no styrene. It is specifically made for use as base for dispersion of Polyester Pigments. It has a medium viscosity, good wetting, very high clarity, glossiness, and is capable of taking high filler loading. VRP 2025 is suitable for making Unsaturated Polyester Pigments.

Vikram Resins and Polymers VRP 2131G is an Isophthalic Acid / MP Diol based Unsaturated Polyester Gelcoat designed for brush or spray applications. MP Diol exhibits the weatherability performance of Neopentyl Glycol. Polyesters made from the reaction of Isophthalic Acid with MP Diol are as weatherable as NPG based resins, which are preferred for outdoor applications. VRP 2131G has a high viscosity, good sag resistance, good air release, and is fast curing. Also, it has a high strength and elongation, excellent blister resistance, good weatherability (with UV resistance), good clarity and color, and produces products with excellent glossiness and smooth surface.

Vikram Resins and Polymers VRP 2131 is a medium reactive Isophthalic Acid based Unsaturated Polyester Resin. It has better mechanical, corrosion, and electrical properties as compared to Orthophthalic Polyesters, has high water resistance and good wetting, and is fast curing. VRP 2131 is suitable for hand lay-up, RTM, pultrusion, filament winding, and other molding techniques and can be used for the manufacture of marine products, tanks, pipes, automobile parts, gratings etc. Also, it can be supplied as a pre-accelerated, thixotropic, or low viscosity resin.

Vikram Resins and Polymers VRP 2132 is a medium reactive superior grade Isophthalic Acid based Unsaturated Polyester Resin. It has better mechanical properties, weather resistance, and durability compared to Orthophthalic rooflite resin, VRP 2151. VRP 2132 is suitable for making translucent clear rooflite sheets and can be supplied in UV stabilized and pre-accelerated versions.

Vikram Resins and Polymers VRP 2141 is a medium reactive PTA based Unsaturated Polyester Resin. It has better mechanical, corrosion, and electrical properties as compared to Orthophthalic Polyesters, has good wetting, and is fast curing. The properties of VRP 2141 are almost exactly the same as VRP 2131. It is suitable for hand lay-up, RTM, pultrusion, filament winding, and other molding techniques and can be used for the manufacture of marine products, tanks, pipes, automobile parts, gratings etc. Also, it can be supplied as a pre-accelerated, thixotropic, or low viscosity resin.

Vikram Resins and Polymers VRP 2111 is a medium reactive flexible Orthophthalic Acid based Unsaturated Polyester Resin. It has a low viscosity, good wetting, sandability properties, good shelf life, and is fast curing and capable of taking high filler loading. VRP 2111 is specifically formulated for metal pastes and polyester putty applications.
