VALMIERA GLASS® SiO2-glass provides high-silica needled mats (KF) with thermal resistance of 1000oC or higher. Silica needled mats are a new generation heat resistant material that can be used for extended periods of time without losing properties or melting and vaporizing at temperatures of up to 1000°C. The mats are also resistant to organic and mineral acids (except hydrofluoric and phosphoric), weak alkali, water, and high-pressure steam, and have low thermal conductivity.

VALMIERA GLASS® E-glass is a Needled glass fiber mat with a thermal resistance of 600°C made of alkali-free alumina borosilicate E-glass fiber yarns with a filament diameter of 6 to 13 m and a length of the cut fiber of 30 to 100 mm without any bonding agent.

VALMIERA GLASS® HR-glass is an aluminosilicate glass that is alkali-free and free of boron oxide and fluorine. In some ways, this glass could completely replace E-glass. The thermal resistance of up to 800°C is the most important feature of this type of glass.
