USI Chemical Silane USi-D1301

Thanks to the specific reactivity of the 2- aminoethylaminopropyl structure, using USi-D1301 as an adhesion promoter in Glass - fiber reinforced or filler-modified plastics reduces the filler's sedimentation tendency and improves dispersibility and numerous mechanical properties (e.g. flexural strength, tensile strength, modulus of elasticity) of the composites. The use of USi-D1301 in these materials also results in a markedly improved resistance to water (vapor) and corrosion. Electrical properties, such as volume resistivity and the dielectric constant, are also positively influenced.

Silane USi-D1301 is an important additive in applications such as :

• Glass fiber or glass fabric composites : As a finish or size constituent
• Glass and metal primers
• Foundry resins : As an additive to various types of foundry resins
• Sealants and adhesives: As a primer or additive
• Mineral-filled polymers (composites) : For pretreatment of fillers and pigments or as an additive
• Paints and coatings : As an additive and primer for improving adhesion to the substrate
