Lubrajel MG is a proprietary hydrojel formulation that was developed in the early 1970's as a non-drying, water-soluble lubricant for the medical industry. Lubrajel MG has been marketed since its development in 1973 as a medical lubricant. It has been used as a general and instrument lubricant for use during physical exams, and applied to catheters, thermometers and a host of other instruments to aid in use and patient comfort.

Lubrajel MS-Free was developed in order to fulfill the need for a paraben free version of Lubrajel MS. It utilizes a preservative system different from our other Lubrajels being that it is paraben free. Lubrajel MSFree contains phenoxyethanol instead of parabens. Lubrajel MS-Free still has the same excellent moisturizing and rheological characteristics.

Lubrajel RR is clear and colorless, and virtually odorless and remains so after sterilization by gamma radiation. An initial apparent viscosity of about 25,000 cps (Brookfield RVT or equivalent, spindle #7, 50 rpm, 22º C) exhibits practically no change upon irradiation. Temperature stressed stability studies indicate that pH, viscosity, color, clarity and lubricating qualities are not sacrificed.

Deselex 50% is a powerful sequestering and chelating agent that is a successful replacement for phosphates in the manufacture of detergents.

Lubrajel Oil Free is a low viscosity liquid. Although the solids content is equal to that of Lubrajel MS Free, its viscosity is only approximately 1000 cps where Lubrajel MS Free has a viscosity of greater than 250,000 cps. To differentiate the product from the other grades of Lubrajel Free it is designated as "Oil." Lubrajel Oil Free, however, is a very hydrophilic material and should not be construed as being hydrophobic.

Lubrajel Marine is composed of complex marine sourced carrageenan derived from red algae, sodium pca, a natural moisturizing factor found in human skin, and the natural humectants, erythritol and glycerin. Lubrajel Marine offers an alternative sensory experience to Lubrajel Natural, while providing effective moisturization, improved clarity, and a buttery, soft, and non-tacky skin feel. Lubrajel Marine contains an Ecocert® and Cosmos compliant preservative system consisting of benzoic and sorbic acid.

Lubrajel Natural is composed of a crosslinked polysaccharide interbiopolymer complex with glycerin and an Ecocert compliant preservative system of benzoic acid and sorbic acid. This novel, natural skin conditioning gel imparts a light but velvety skin feel, improving the sensory characteristics of personal care formulations, while providing a powerful skin moisturizing effect. Unlike many other natural gels, Lubrajel Natural has good thermal stability, and exhibits a remarkably soft, smooth and non-tacky after-feel.

KLENSOFT, a new mild, water-based cleanser has been developed by United-Guardian because of the need for a mild formulation to replace the present approach of makeup removal. KLENSOFT is free of mineral oil, isopropyl-fatty acid esters and harsh surfactants.

Orchid Complex is the infusion of carefully cultivated Cymbidium orchids in a vegetal emollient and moisturizer base. This special infusion of Cymbidium in an oxygen rich bath of caprylic and capric triglycerides results in the optimum extraction of the orchid’s essential oils.

Lubrajel DV Free is the most viscous of our paraben free Lubrajels. It is employed in a variety of personal care products where rheology as well as moisturization and feel are important; rheology being of primary concern. Lubrajel DV Free, because of its high yield value, is especially suitable for emulsion stabilization and suspension of compatible materials such as titanium dioxide, relatively unionized pigments, micas, pearlescent pigments, and cholesterol esters (liquid crystals).

Lubrajel II XD-Free was developed in order to fulfill the need for a paraben free version of Lubrajel II XD. It utilizes a preservative system different from our other Lubrajels being that it is paraben free. Lubrajel II XD-Free contains phenoxyethanol instead of methyl and propyl paraben. Lubrajel II XD-Free still has the same excellent moisturizing and rheological characteristics.

B-122 consists of a calcium acid stearate that is mechanically treated to modify the nature of the particles. This treatment process results in enhanced binding properties.

Lubrasil is the unique integration of silicone (Cyclopentasiloxane and Dimethiconol) and Lubrajel [Glycerin and Glyceryl Acrylate/ Acrylic Acid Copolymer] in which the silicone oil is microemulsified using proprietary manufacturing technology.

Lubrajel MS is a clathrate which contains a small amount of propylene glycol and methyl and propyl parabens. The clathrate holds water molecules and releases them when it is disrupted. Disruption occurs with the addition of ionic materials, acids or alkali. Normally, the salt content at the skin surface slowly disrupts the clathrate that in turn moisturizes the epidermal surfaces.

Lubrajel MGL is a medical lubricant with a lower viscosity than our standard medical lubricant, Lubrajel MG. It can be used as a general and instrument lubricant for use during physical exams. It can be applied to catheters, thermometers and other instruments to ensure ease of use and patient comfort.

Lubrajel II XD is the newest member in our Lubrajel series of products. Lubrajel II XD is a high efficiency clathrate gel designed to add exceptional body, moisturization, emolliency and most notably, stabilizing rheology to sparkling clear gel products and emulsions including oil-in-water and water-in-oil, multiple-emulsions and micro emulsions.

Lubrajel II XD PF possesses the same excellent moisturizing and rheological characteristics as Lubrajel II XD with the added benefit of being completely preservative free.

LubraSlide is a unique powder with a wide range of uses. This extremely fine white powder is most noted for its high lubricity, water-repellency, and temperature stability.

Lubrajel NP was designed specifically for the Japanese cosmetic market in which certain cosmetic formulators prefer not using propylene glycol in their products. Since the presence of propylene glycol is mainly for solubilizing the preservatives (methyl and propyl paraben), its removal had no significant effect on the rheological or moisturization properties of Lubrajel. The preservatives, however, had to be incorporated using a different technique.

While all other forms of Lubrajel are defined as viscous gels, Lubrajel Oil PF is a low viscosity liquid. Lubrajel Oil PF is a very hydrophilic water soluble ingredient and should not be construed as being hydrophobic because of the word “oil” in its name.

Lubrajel RA is a water-soluble lubricating liquid capable of terminal sterilization with 2.5 Megagrads (25 kGy) of gamma radiation. This low viscosity liquid is clear, colorless and virtually odorless. These characteristics remain intact even after irradiation.

Lubrajel PF is a sister product to Lubrajel CG and therefore has physical and cosmetic properties similar to Lubrajel CG. Lubrajel PF is a preservative free version of Lubrajel CG. This provides the formulator with a variety of options when creating their new products. The chemists can select their own preservative system or, if formulated appropriately, design preservative free products as well.

Lubrajel RC is an extension of the Lubrajel RR product. It is a cost effective, pH balanced, enhanced lubricating gel designed specifically for use as a urological catheter lubricant. It may be applied to the catheter prior to packaging and sterilization, providing the medical professional with a convenient prelubricated device. It may also be packaged into syringes, ready for administration into the urethra.
