Properties
Technical Details & Test Data
- Combatting Recurrence of Severe Skin Conditions
Skin conditions are generally caused or sustained by microbiota imbalances characterized by dominance or infections by certain organisms, such as C. albicans, S. aureus, etc. The treatments for these conditions can be disruptive, leaving skin vulnerable for new infections due to the absence of a strong protective microbiota. BIOLIN/P can help restore the microbiota quickly and protect against new or reoccurring infections.
Clinical trial involving 15 atopic babies suffering from severe diaper rash caused by C. Albicans infection. Babies returned to hospital regularly for cortisone treatments. When using standard diaper rash creams afterwards the condition returned (left), whereas with application of same cream with 1.5% BIOLIN/P the condition did not reoccur (right). No conclusion is for a baby not brought back for evaluation.
Before Trial
Evaluation after 1st and 2nd use peroid
Clinical trial involving 50 patients suffering from discomfort due C. Albicans infection. Use of 1.5% BIOLIN/P containing hygiene wash, 2 times 2-4 weeks use with 4-6 weeks rest period in-between. Dermatological and self-assessment shows no discomfort when using BIOLIN/P containing wash (right) compared to initial situation (left).
Increase in Hydration
Decrease in TEWL
Clinical trial involving 50 patients suffering from dry and irritated skin due to diabetic conditions, often characterized by C. Albicans and S. Aureus infections. 4 week application of cream combining benfothiamine and BIOLIN/P, showing overall improvement of skin health, including increased skin hydration, decreased TEWL and increased sebum content.
