Packaging & Availability
- Availability
SynFoam SV-44 is available as 0.5 cubic foot, 1 cubic foot, and 7 cubic foot kits. SynFoam also offers custom castings of the material if required. Please contact us for more information on custom molding services or the need for custom size material. We also provide custom coloring of SV-44. The coloring of the SV formulations can eliminate the need for cosmetic coatings such as safety yellow or orange polyurethane paints. Please contact us with any coloring requirements and any specifications that those colors must meet.
Storage & Handling
- Product Instructions
SynFoam SV-44 requires mixing prior to use. Component A and B must be weighed to the proper amount and blended until uniform. The glass bubbles are then added to the mix and blended into the system. Use of a low shear mixer is recommended to avoid breaking of glass bubbles during processing. After the mix is uniform it can be poured into any cavity or void. The initial cure will take place over a 24 hour period at which point any machining, finishing, painting or other operation can be done. Full properties will be reached in 7 days. SynFoam SV-44 should be stored in a dry area at temperatures between 45 and 100oF. Component A can freeze if exposed to low temperatures and will require heat to liquefy again if that occurs. Component C should be kept free from moisture to prevent absorption by the glass filler. Keep containers sealed when not in use.
