STEPANOL LCP provides excellent detergency, high foam and a low cloud point. STEPANOL LCP is also a low viscosity product with good water solubility. STEPANOL LCP is used in detergent and personal care applications including shampoos, bubble baths, dishwash detergents, general cleaners, rug shampoos and upholstery cleaners.

STEPANOL LCP is slightly toxic orally (LD₅₀ is between 0.8 and 1.1 g/kg) and causes moderate eye irritation and mild skin irritation.

- Storage & Handling
- Normal safety precautions (i.e. gloves and safety goggles) should be employed when handling STEPANOL LCP. Contact with the eyes and prolonged contact with the skin should be avoided. Wash thoroughly after handling material.
- It is recommended that STEPANOL LCP be stored in sealed containers and kept in a cool, dry place. Avoid overheating or freezing. Liquipak drums are recommended for storage of STEPANOL LCP. If material is frozen, mild heat and agitation are recommended to ensure the material is homogeneous before use.
- Bulk Storage Information: Tanks made of 316 stainless steel or fiberglass with a corrosion liner are recommended. Mild agitation is recommended while storing to maintain homogeneity. An internal hairpin coil of 316 stainless steel with low pressure steam (under 50 psig) should be used if heating is required. Gear pumps and piping should be 316 stainless steel. Recommended storage for bulk tanks is 90-125°F (32-52°C).
