STEPAN-MILD L3-G/MB offers the formulator excellent viscosity and foam enhancement, as well as skin softness, moisturization and emolliency. It is also a good solubilizer for an active ingredient (e.g. Salicylic Acid). STEPAN-MILD L3-G/MB is an ideal surfactant/emollient for a variety of personal care applications: creams, lotions, bubble baths, liquid soaps, facial cleansers, shampoos, soap bars, body washes, solid and anhydrous antiperspirants, cosmetic make-up and hair conditioners.

- Spreadability of Stepan Emollients
The spreadability of different emollients can be determined by measuring the contact angle of a particular ingredient on a substrate, in this case Vitro-Skin®. An ingredient that demonstrates good spreadability will have a polarity that closely matches the natural polarity of skin (which tends to be hydrophilic) and thus return lower contact angle results than an ingredient with poor spreadability. Good spreadability is an important attribute for applications such as body and facial lotions and sunscreens, where it is desired to have a formula that rubs into the skin quickly and feels light and soft, not greasy.

- Storage Conditions
Normal safety precautions (i.e., the use of gloves and safety goggles, adapted personal protective equipment) should be employed when handling STEPAN-MILD L3-G/MB. Contact with eyes, nose or prolonged skin contact should be avoided. Wash thoroughly after handling material.
