POLYSTEP J-927 is a surfactant blend that is used in emulsion polymerization and as an aid in the manufacture of latexes. POLYSTEP J-927 is useful with acrylics and vinyl acrylics containing a high level of acrylic monomer.

POLYSTEP J-927 is made to order in bulk and 55 gallon drums (net weight 475 lb/215 kg).
Storage & Handling
- Storage & Handling
Normal safety precautions (i.e., gloves and safety goggles) should be employed when handling POLYSTEP J-927. Contact with the eyes or nose, and prolonged contact with the skin should be avoided. Wash thoroughly after handling the material. It is recommended that POLYSTEP J-927 be stored in sealed containers at temperatures between 77 and100°F. Avoid overheating or freezing. If material is frozen, mild heat and agitation are recommended to ensure the material is homogeneous before use.
Bulk Storage Information
Tanks made of 316 stainless steel or fiberglass with an Atlac 382 corrosion resistant liner are recommended. Positive displacement gear pumps and piping should be 316 stainless steel. Recommended storage temperature for bulk tanks is 77-100 °F (25-43 °C).

Occupational exposure can occur primarily through skin contact or via inhalation of vapors and mists. Engineering controls, personal protective equipment, and other workplace practices should be used to control these exposures.
