POLYSTEP A-16-22 is used in the manufacture of latex. It is useful with vinyl chloride and vinylidene chloride. POLYSTEP A-16-22 can be used to make styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) and styrene acrylic latexes.

Storage & Handling
- Storage & Handling
Normal safety precautions (i.e., gloves and safety goggles) should be employed when handling POLYSTEP A-16-22. Contact with the eyes and prolonged contact with the skin should be avoided. Material should be stored at 29 - 41°C (85 -105°F). If material is frozen it should be heated gently and stirred to ensure it is homogeneous before use. The product should not be stored below 25°C (77°F); the product will crystallize below this temperature.
Bulk Storage Information
POLYSTEP A-16-22 should be stored in 316 stainless steel or fiberglass with a corrosion liner. Mild agitation is recommended while storing to maintain homogeneity. Material should be stored between 29 - 41 °C (85 - 105 °F). Use mild heat if needed avoiding the use of steam since it may impact product integrity. Recirculated warm water is recommended. Pumps, pipes and transfer lines should be 316 stainless steel.
- Workplace Exposure
Occupational exposure can occur primarily through skin contact or via inhalation of vapors and mists. Engineering controls, personal protective equipment, and other workplace practices should be used to control these exposures.
