POLYSTEP A-16 is used in the manufacture of latex. It is useful with vinyl chloride, vinylidene chloride and styrene butadiene. POLYSTEP A-16 works well with styrene butadiene, especially when combined with a nonionic such as POLYSTEP F-6. POLYSTEP A-16 can be used in acrylic latexes when combined with higher nonionics such as POLYSTEP F-9. POLYSTEP A-16 can also be used in vinyl acetate latexes, especially those made with high levels of protective colloid.

Storage & Handling
- Storage & Handling
Normal safety precautions (i.e., gloves and safety goggles) should be employed when handling POLYSTEP A-16. Contact with the eyes and prolonged contact with the skin should be avoided. It is recommended that POLYSTEP A-16 be stored in sealed containers and kept in a cool, dry place. If material is frozen it should be heated gently and stirred to ensure it is homogeneous before use.
Bulk Storage Information
POLYSTEP A-16 should be stored in 316 stainless steel or fiberglass with a corrosion liner. Mild agitation is recommended while storing to maintain homogeneity. Material should be stored between 85 - 105 °F. Use mild heat if needed avoiding the use of steam since it may impact product integrity. Recirculated warm water is recommended. Pumps, pipes, and transfer lines should be 316 stainless steel.
