- BIO-TERGE AS-40 CG-P (Cosmetic Grade) is an aqueous solution of sodium olefin sulfonate which is produced by the continuous sulfonation of alpha olefins via Stepan’s falling film process. Stepan’s process produces a consistently high quality product.
- BIO-TERGE AS-40 CG-P can be used in personal care formulations where efficient viscosity building performance is desired. BIO-TERGE AS-40 CG-P is ideal for a variety of personal care formulations, such as hand soaps, shampoos, facial cleansers, and body washes. BIO-TERGE AS-40 CG-P has excellent flash foam properties, and has improved mildness over lauryl sulfates. Also, BIO-TERGE AS-40 CG-P is hydrolytically stable over a broader pH range than lauryl and lauryl ether sulfates.
