Spak manufacturers anionic surfactants namely Sodium dioctyl Sulphosuccinates (DOSS) based on various concentrations and solvents as per customer requirement &amp; application. Spak also provides custom made sulphosuccinates this product range based on various alcohols like pentanol, nonanol, decanol etc.

Cocomonoethanolamide is a well-known agent for foam boosting and stabilization and viscosity control used is shampoos, liquid soaps and similar cosmetic/ toiletry products and industrial cleaners. It stabilizes the foam in the presence of hard water and sebum. Due to its low amine value the formulated products rarely require subsequent pH adjustment after its addition. In acid shampoos cocomonethanolamide should be preferred over cocodiethanolamide as, being a secondary amide it is more resistant to hydrolysis.

SPAK DD-40 (AL) (EM) is a Polyol fatty acid ester. SPAK DD-40 (AL) (EM) acts as a defoamer &amp; antifoamer i.e. it kills the foam formed and also reduces foam formation tendency in the system. SPAK DD-40 (AL) (EM) very well suits the fermentation system and has no adverse effect on yeast vitality and cell count (even at 1000 ppm in the fermentation system). This plays an important role in Alfa Laval process since the yeast is re-cycled in the process. The Polyol fatty acid ester has a high molecular weight and will not distill off and contaminate the end product. Foam can be a disaster in fermenters because it frequently results in loss of production. In a biotechnology system the conditions for foam production are always potentially present. Many organisms generate proteins, which are released into the surrounding medium. The proteins and the CO2 liberated generate foam in the fermentation system. SPAK offers a specially developed product SPAK DD-40 (AL) (EM) has a performance of antifoam and defoamer to suppress this foam.

Spak Orgochem (I) Pvt. Ltd. is manufacturer &amp; exporter of ethoxylated Sorbitan Esters popularly known as Polysorbates. Under this category we produce SPAKESE-85 (Polysorbate-85) which is ethoxylated Sorbitan Tri oleate. We have excellent ethoxylation technology which results in products with very narrow molecular weight distribution as well as very low color.

Dioctyl Sodium Sulfosuccinate (DOSS)), a surface-active agent, is well known for its superior wetting power. Its use as a wetting agent in industries like textiles, leather and pulp and paper is well known. It is also used in pharmaceutical, emulsion polymerization, electroplating, paints and printing inks. Specialties such as antifog formulations, automotive radiator cleaners, battery separators, coal dust suppressant, glass cleaners rust preventives, wallpaper removers contain DOSS as a surfactant. It is useful in germicidal preparations using pine oil or phenol where it increases the activity of pine oil/phenol. Spak uses only 2-Ethyl Hexanol to make all its DOSS range. The product made with Iso Octanol is not as effective.

Spak ESE-60 can be used as a solubilizer and emulsifier of oils and fragrances, as a wetting agent, viscosity modifier, anti-stat, and stabilizer and dispersing agent. This product finds application in baby shampoos because of very low eye irritation. The product is also used in cosmetics, toiletries and ointments.

SPAK DD-40 (Conc) is a blend of an anionic surfactant and a fatty acid ester. The former acts as a defoamer i.e. kills the foam formed and the latter acts as an antifoam i.e. reduces foam formation tendency. SPAK DD-40 (Conc) very well suits the fermentation system and has no adverse effect on yeast vitality and cell count. It is fully biodegradable and will not pose any problem in the effluent treatment plant. The fatty acid ester has a high molecular weight and will not distill off and contaminate the end product. Foam can be a disaster in fermentors because it frequently results in loss of production. In a biotechnology system the conditions for foam production are always potentially present. Spak AY-50 is specially recommended in formulations containing Sodium Sulfate. The commonly used surfactant of the same family e.g. Sodium Dioctyl Sulphosuccinate exhibits poor performance in presence of sodium sulfate. For example, 0.02% Spak AY-50 will reduce surface tension of 15% sodium sulfate solution to 26 dyne/cm where as sodium dioctyl sulphosuccinate will be salted out under these conditions. Similarly Spak AY-50 shows better tolerance to Ca ions than Sodium Dioctyl Sulphosuccinate.
