Metal-Rec 40 is a sodium dimethyl dithiocarbamate-based formulation, that is designed to provide low-cost treatment of circuit board wastewater and other heavily chelated metal waste streams. Additional coagulants are generally required when using this product.

The Metal-Rec line of precipitants are formulated to remove heavy metals from the effluents of plating baths, etching solutions, and rinses containing soluble metals. They can reduce the concentration of the following metals to acceptable levels from most waste streams: Cadmium, Mercury, Platinum, Vanadium, Cobalt, Iron, Nickel, Thallium, Copper, Lead, Silver, Palladium, Chromium, Manganese, Zinc, Molybdenum.
