• SMA'RT TEC is a colorless, odorless and lipophilic ingredient made from the synthesis of ethyl alcohol and citric acid, which are derived naturally from sugarcane and corn. It is a pure solvent, diluent, and fixative for long-lasting perfumes.
• It is an excellent active agent for deodorant formulations because it inhibits the esterase-based metabolism of sweat components, which causes malodor. It is the preferred film-strengthening agent in high-grade hair sprays and nail polish.
• SMA’RT TEC is a dry emollient that provides a variety of benefits such as improved skin barrier function, increased moisturization, reduced soaping effect, and improved slip and glide. In formulations, it also functions as a solubilizer and pigment dispersing agent, which can be used to disperse insoluble organic UV filters.
