Use deionized water to make the bath. Add half the amount of water needed in the tank and all the dye. Heat to a boil if possible, otherwise, heat as high as possible for 30 minutes, then cool to use temperature. Adjust the pH with either ammonia to raise it or acetic acid to lower it. Make small additions to avoid big pH swings. SIC dyes are buffered and should make up at use pH.
