- Applications
On plasterboard with cardboard skins, copper, wood and derivatives, exclusively indoors.
Indoors and outdoors on concrete, cement and hydraulic coatings, glass, earthenware, sanded melamine, aluminum, stripped galvanized steel,
stripped zinc, electrogalvanized, stainless steel, bare or coated with old paints and adherent varnishes in good condition.- Applications Characteristics
Exterior: ambient and surface temperature between 5° and 35°C - Hygrometry < 80% RH. Substrate temperature at least 3°C above dew point; avoid surfaces that are frozen, damp or too hot, do not apply in rainy, foggy weather, in strong winds or in direct sunlight. Interior: Ambient and support temperature between 8° and 35°C - Hygrometry < 70% RH. Do not apply
on condensing substrates. Humidity rate of woodwork < 10-12% depending on the nature.Application material
- Brush: 100% synthetic
- Airless: low pressure nozzle 515 at 90-110 bars or standard nozzle 517 at 190-210 bars
- In general, moisture content of masonry < 5%.
- Sleeve: 12mm HD microfiber
- Dilution: Ready to use
- Equipment cleaning: With water immediately after use
- Implementation
The supports must comply with the DTU concerning them and in particular with NF DTU 59.1. Prior recognition necessary in order to determine the most suitable preparation for their condition and nature (cleaning, washing/rinsing, sanding, scraping, degreasing, roughening, dusting, etc.).
In general, after preparation, the substrates must be sound, cohesive, clean and dry to receive a layer of AQUAPRIM INSULATION. Do not dilute to maintain the insulating function.
Indoors and outdoors:
On metals such as:
- Electrogalvanized, stainless steel: preparation of the support, in particular by degreasing with DAF 310 then application of a layer of AQUAPRIM INSULATING.
- Galvanized steel, zinc, aluminum: preparation of the support, in particular by degreasing with DAF 310 then pickling with SOLUTION NT 330 , followed by rinsing with water, drying then application of a layer of AQUAPRIM INSULATING.
On porcelain stoneware, earthenware and glass: preparation of the support, in particular by degreasing with DEGRAISSANT LT615 , followed by rinsing with water, drying then application of a layer of AQUAPRIM INSULATING.
- On melamine: preparation of the support, in particular by sanding then application of a layer of AQUAPRIM INSULATING.
On cement, hydraulic coatings, concrete and derivatives: preparation of the support then application of a layer of AQUAPRIM ISOLANT diluted up to 5% water
On old single-component paints or varnishes, in good condition and adherent: preparation of the support, in particular by degreasing with DEGRAISSANT LT615 and/or decontamination with bleached water, followed by rinsing with water, drying and roughening of glossy paints and varnish, then application of a coat of AQUAPRIM ISOLANT.
On plasterboard with cardboard skins, coated with plaster base paint: preparation of the support then application of a layer of AQUAPRIM INSULATING.
On copper: preparation of the support, in particular by degreasing with DAF 310 then application of a layer of AQUAPRIM ISOLANT.
On new wood such as:
- Soft woods (Framiré, Okoumé, Poplar, Pine, Pichpin): preparation of the support, in particular by eliminating resin drips, then application of a layer of AQUAPRIM INSULATING .
- Hardwoods (Doussié, Niangon, Teak): preparation of the support, in particular by degreasing with DAF 310 , then application of a layer of AQUAPRIM INSULATING diluted with 5% water.
- Wood with antioxidant constituents (Iroko, Padouk): preparation of the substrate then application of a layer of AQUAPRIM INSULATING diluted with 5% water.
- Hard woods with tannins (oak, chestnut): preparation of the support then application of a layer of AQUAPRIM INSULATING. It may sometimes be necessary to apply a second coat of AQUAPRIM ISOLANT before finishing (do a test or consult our technical departments).
On other substrates such as ferrous metals, polycarbonate, PVC, technical data sheets for primers such as AQUAPRIM MICRO, ADERPRIM MICRO or the PROTEC range or contact our technical departments.
