- Textile Processing Polyurethane Dispersions
We offer various types of useful textile processing polyurethane dispersions as texture enhancing agents, pilling-resistant finish agents, shrink resistant finish agents, binders for pigment printing and various finish agents. These products form strong films that excel in adhesion with various textures and light yellowing resistance because they are non yellowing type polyurethane dispersion using aliphatic isocyanate. Our textile processing polyurethane dispersions are shown below.

1. As a Binder for Pigment Printing
A. Preparation Method of Printing Paste
Add pigment and printing paste (when softness is desired) to PERMARIN UA-368,
and then add 0.5 - 5 wt % thickeners, such as a natural sizing agent, a chemically modified starch or a polycarboxylic acidtype sizing agent. If the printing paste tends to dry too fast, add a 2 - 5 wt % moisturizer such as ethylene glycol.
B. Recommended Concentration
According to the desired tactile property and shade, dilute the printing paste with printing paste to achieve the required concentration.
C. Printing Method
Print fabric using a printing machine such as a screen printing machine or a roller printing machine. And then, naturally dry the printed fabric or dry using a dehydrator with a pin tenter, etc.
2. As a Binder for Finishing Agents
A. Dilution Method- Dilute PERMARIN UA Products directly with water to achieve the required concentration.
B. Recommended Concentration
- The concentration to be applied depends on the kind of fabric and the desired tactile property, however, the standard concentration is shown below. Padding method: 5 - 50 g/L.
- If a bath containing PERMARIN UA Products tends to dry too fast, add a 2 - 5 g/L moisturizer such as ethylene glycol to the bath.
3. As a Coating Agent
A. Preparation Method of Coating Solution Add a thickener such as a natural sizing agent, a chemically modified starch, a polycarboxylic
acid-type sizing agent or a modified polyether type thickener to PERMARIN UA-4000 in order to prepare a coating solution of appropriate viscosity. The standard concentration of the thickener is between 0.1 and 5 wt %.
If the coating solution tends to dry too fast, generally add a 2 - 5 wt % moisturizer such as ethylene glycol.\
B. Coating Method
Base materials including cloth should be coated with the coating solution by a reverse roll coater, knife coater, or gravure roll coater, and then dried using a dehydrator with a pin tenter, etc.Precaution Against Mishandling
- PERMARINE UA series are anionic type polyurethane dispersion.
- Do not use PERMARIN UA Products with cationic agents and avoid contamination in treatment baths from residual cationic agents that were used during previous processes to avoid aggregation by cationic agents.
- When this product is used with other agents such as thickeners and softeners, test their compatibility using a mixer beforehand to ensure that no scum is formed.
- PERMARIN UA Products form a film that is not soluble in water when dried. Use a moisturizer such as ethylene glycol when tend to dry. Wash containers and equipment such as a mangle or a screen printing machine with water immediately after use.
Important:
Before handling these products, refer to the safety Data Sheet for recommended protective equipment, and detailed precautionary and hazards information.
