- Salidruff is sensitive to strong oxidizing and reducing agents.
- It is incompatible with EDTA, which, however, does no harm the sterilizing effect of Zinc pyrithione.
- Salidruff should not be used in products for oral hygiene.
- Zinc Pyrithione is characterized by its significant lipid solubility dissolves in sebum, and thus the period when effective concentration of the formula is maintained in keratinized epidermal layer is prolonged achieving increased fungicidal activity.

Between 0.3 to 2.0% in rinse-off applications and 0.1 to 0.25% in leave-on applications. As a preservative up to 1.0% in rinseoff products, 0.5% in leave-on products.
Can be added in the formulation up to 100°C, without affecting the activity.
