- Applications
- Sodium Chlorite Solution is a product specially developed for applications that require dosing precision and reliability and is easy to handle and apply. Our plant, located in Santa Bárbara d’Oeste, is a modern industrial unit, fully automated and safe, with first-class facilities and equipment, designed to ensure respect for the environment and able to meet the needs of the national and international markets.
- Sodium Chlorite has a wide range of application such as sugar and alcohol segment, for disinfection and water treatment, antifouling for industrial equipment, leather processing, the pulp and paper industry or textile industry.
- The product is intended for the sanitization processes, where a highly reliable disinfecting agent is required and does not generate any by-products.
Sugar and Alcohol: As a precursor for the generation of Chlorine Dioxide in bacterial infection control and total or partial replacement of sulfuric acid in fermentation processes. It decreases contamination increasing the yield of the process. Patent number: PI 0802089-2.
Food: As a precursor for the generation of Chlorine Dioxide used in the post-harvest of fruits and vegetables. It increases the shelf life of foods, favoring the transport process and ensuring that the food arrives at its destination in better consumption conditions.
Personal Hygiene: Used in the formulation of oral hygiene products, such as: antiseptics, tooth whitening products, toothpaste, among others.
Water Treatment: Used as a precursor to Chlorine Dioxide, a product used as an oxidizing biocide in the primary water disinfection process.
Leather: Used in the stages of bleaching and surface treatment of the leather, so that it can undergo the final finishing stages.
Textile: Used in the bleaching of the fibers, so that the fabric can undergo the dyeing and final finishing.
Pulp & Paper: As a precursor for generating Chlorine Dioxide, a product that is used in the bleaching stage of the pulp.
Metal-mechanics: Used as a paint stripper in the surface treatment of metals.- Application Guidelines
Sodium Chlorite should be diluted in acid medium before application. Recommended doses to the bacterial control in alcoholic fermentation may vary from 50 to 150 ppm.
