    Product Highlights

It is the naturally matured cheese that started it all: our coastal archetype. In 1890 Eduard Wilhelm Rücker leased the cooperative dairy in Vadersdorf on the Baltic Sea island of Fehmarn. A strong Holsteiner-style Tilsiter the original product, so to speak, of the cheese specialty originally from Tilsit. It soon became the trademark of the dairy.

    Our cheese family pride

Even today we produce this naturally matured specialty according to the old family recipe - a juicy semi-hard cheese like in great-grandfather's time. The only difference is the shape: instead of unwieldy loaves, we make practical cheese sandwiches. Our coastal archetype develops its particularly strong flavor after a maturing period of six to eight weeks. Like no other of our naturally matured cheese specialties, the robust coastal archetype stands for what is special about Rücker: skills and knowledge passed on from generation to generation. passion for cheese. Down-to-earth, North German way of life.

    Gourment Tips:

The juicy, pithy coastal archetype is the perfect naturally ripened cheese to gratinate. Whether classic minced meat lasagne, delicious salmon lasagne, potato gratin or pumpkin quiche our coastal archetype refines every hearty oven dish. We East Frisians also love the strong Tilsiter in a very special combination: freshly baked raisin mares, brushed with butter and topped with thick slices of cheese. As a 'Krintstuut mit Botter und Kees', we at Rücker also prefer to eat our coastal archetype. Sweet plus hearty, that's enjoyment in North German.
