A Gradual PHA Release

When Beauté by Roquette® GA 290 comes in contact with water or aqueous media, it hydrolyzes progressively to gluconic acid which is a PolyHydroxyAcid (PHA) containing 5 hydroxyl groups (-OH) and 1 carboxylic acid (-COOH). Depending of the pH, the gluconic acid is then partially or totally converted into gluconate.

Results: Beauté by Roquette® GA 290 is a slow release source of a weak acid and an acidity regulator.

A Gentle PHA, Less Agressive than AHAs (ex Vivo Study)

For this study, we compared the effect of Beauté by Roquette® GA 290 on skin explants compared to glycolic acid.
