Our production facilities shall ensure that, at the time of delivery to its customer, the ingredients supplied were manufactured, packaged and distributed in compliance with all regulations as mandated by the Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA), as well as all regulatory legislation applicable to the production and distribution of food products in the relative countries of origin and distribution.

All components used in the manufacture of Riviana/Herba Rice Mills' Rice products are food grade and generally recognized as safe and suitable for human consumption, and if applicable, conform to the current specification listed in the Food Chemical Codex.

Riviana Foods Inc./Herba Rice Mills intends to comply with the act in that clear and reasonable warnings would be given to customers should our products contain chemicals known to the State of California to cause cancer or reproductive toxicity. At this time, no such warnings are needed or anticipated.

Riviana Foods Inc./Herba Mills has full knowledge and understanding of the regulations issued by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration regarding Facility Registration, Notice of Import, and Record Keeping in response to the Public Health Security and Bioterrorism Response and Preparedness Act of 2002. Riviana Foods Inc./Herba Rice Mills has registered its facilities in compliance with the facility registration and registration numbers are maintained by the General Counsel for Riviana Foods Inc. and are considered to be proprietary and confidential information.

Basmati Rice is made from milled long grain Basmati rice varieties and contains only rice. No animal products or by-products are included or used in the manufacture of this product. To the best of our knowledge, Riviana Foods Inc./Herba Rice Mills' Basmati Rice meets the requirements of the Vegan dietary standard.

Riviana Foods Inc./Herba Rice Mills quality, safety and operations maintain a current BRC Global Standard for Food Safety certification demonstrating compliance with all Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) standards and practices. Current Audit Certificate of Compliance can be provided upon request.

Recommended for use upon receipt. This product is best if stored in dry/ambient conditions and used within 2 years from production date. To prevent infestation it is advisable to rotate stock regularly and store it in an environment following a stringent Integrated Pest Management program. Under these conditions we will warranty it pest free for 30 days.
