Typical Uses

EPO-204 is designed as a 100% solids, light colored epoxy topcoat with a smooth, high gloss finish. It has excellent color stability and is easy to apply due to its low viscosity. This product displays high chemical resistance. EPO-204 is ideal for light to moderate traffic areas, general manufacturing or distribution facilities, or aircraft hangars.

Cure Time

10 hrs (foot traffic and recoat), 13 hrs (full service), at 75°F and 70% RH.

Application of Materials

If pigment is required, mix pigment into part A prior to mixing with part B. Use a variable speed drill equipped with a jiffy mixing blade&mix on low speed until evenly dispersed. Once fully blended, mix A & B using a variable speed drill equipped with a jiffy mixing blade until well blended for a minimum of two minutes. Scrape sides of mixing bucket with paint stick or spatula to help insure thorough blending of parts A and B. If no pigment is required, mix 2 parts A with 1 part B by volume. Using a variable speed drill equipped with a jiffy mixing blade. Mix on low speed until well blended for a minimum of two minutes. Scrape sides of mixing bucket with paint stick or spatula to help insure thorough blending of parts A and B. Apply EPO-204 material to floor immediately after mixing by using a brush, roller, squeegee, or trowel. Rate of application will vary based on system selected. Refer to appropriate system specification for detailed application rates. If a second coat is required, it must be applied within 20 hours, otherwise the surface must be sanded with 60 grit sandpaper prior to application. Application temperature should be between 60ºF and 80ºF. Substrate temperature must be a minimum of 5ºF above dew point. Use xylene, acetone, etc. for cleaning tools and equipment soon after use. Do not use solvents on hands or other parts of body. Clean hands and other exposed areas with soap and water.
