Application
  • Coatings: MOUSSEX® SF 561 provides fast defoaming and air release during production, filling and application of solvent-based, solvent-free and water-based coatings. Although active in a variety of solvent and water based systems MOUSSEX® SF 561 is particularly recommended for use in 2K acrylics, epoxy, air drying and stoving enamels.
  • In water based systems it is very effective against micro foam and in this respect is the ideal partner for silicone based defoamers. In difficult applications, such as Universal Colorants, this combination provides excellent results for complete defoaming action.
  • MOUSSEX® SF 561 provides excellent defoaming properties without any risk of haze, surface defects or intercoat adhesion problems. For this is reason it is recommended for all clear coat applications.
  • Inks: MOUSSEX® SF 561 displays a high de-bubbling action in all water based and solvent based flexographic ink applications with a long lasting efficiency. Its performance is particularly appreciated in applications with high speed machines.
Method of Use and Recommended Levels
  • In order to obtain the best results it is required that MOUSSEX® SF 561 is added in the early stages of the production process.
  • Amount to use can vary from 0.1% to 1.0% on total formulation.
