The perfect ratio between the defoaming / anti-foaming characteristics and compatibility makes MOUSSEX® S 8044 a universal defoamer that can be added at all steps of the production and the application processes of the paints and inks. Due to its high compatibility in many aqueous binder systems (acrylic, polyurethane dispersions, epoxy resins), MOUSSEX® S 8044 offers a perfect defoaming properties without cratering and negative influence on the gloss. It keeps an excellent efficiency under high shear forces, with a wide pH acceptance.
MOUSSEX® S 8044 is highly recommended for architectural coatings, inks, pigment concentrates and industrial coatings.
Because of its specific chemistry, MOUSSEX® S 8044:

  • Is VOC free and APEO free
  • Has excellent defoaming performances even at lower dosage, from acidic to basic pH
  • Can be used from grinding to post-addition stages
  • Is easy to incorporate under low shear forces
  • Does not involve any unwanted secondary effects related to film appearance
  • Is compliant with : Ecolabel 1999/10/EC, Swiss Ordinance, RoHS 2002/95/CE
Method of Use and Recommended Levels
  • MOUSSEX® S 8044 can be added at any step of the production process, from the grinding stage to final post addition, under sufficient shear forces to ensure a perfect homogenisation.
  • Recommended dosage: 0.1 – 1.0 % delivery form on total formulation.
