- MOUSSEX® 3130 HL consists of molecules that have the capacity of combining with those of the bubble walls, thus provoking their disruption and eliminating foam. Although MOUSSEX® 3130 HL has been developed particularly for emulsion and especially styrene-acrylic, acrylic, vinyl acetate, vinyl-versatate and vinyl-acrylic based emulsion paints, it can be used in any other aqueous preparation causing foam formation. Unlike silicone antifoaming agents, MOUSSEX® 3130 HL does not induce unwanted secondary effects related to film appearance, and intercoat adhesion.
- Method of Use and Amounts
- MOUSSEX® 3130 HL can be used either in post addition to solve an already existing foam problem or as preventive agent, and can be incorporated at any stage of the production process.
- Recommended dosage ranges from 0.2 to 0.5 % on total formulation.
- In any case, it is advisable to carry out systematic tests beforehand, in order to assess the efficiency and the compatibility of the additive in the system and the right dosage.
