The main goal is to supply the best quality products from sourcing all over Madagascar island which provides a livelihood for several small farmers. Currently, the company activities impact directly the social lives of around 250 family homes with the benefits of its fairtrade projects. Driven by the desire to contribute to the well-being of producers and society in general, PHAEL FLOR EXPORT has contributed to road maintenance, opening up production areas, building schools (4 classrooms so far) and to provide schools with benches and school materials. Projects to increase the income of producer families by diversifying their income and integrating young people into the professional world are currently in the making.

Phael Flor Export Essential oil of Organic Clove Bud Madagascar is an evergreen tree, it has soft gray bark and dark green ovate leaves with shiny, leathery texture. At beginning of the rainy season fragrant, green buds appear at the end of the branches. They gradually turn red and if left unpicked, develop into pink or crimson flowers. Cloves are the dried, unopened flower buds of the evergreen clove tree. This small reddish-brown flower bud resembles a tiny nail head.

Phael Flor Export Cinnamon Organic Madagascar is dried inner bark of a small evergreen tree that is harvested during the rainy season when the bark is most flexible and easiest to work with. Phael Flor Export grows cinnamom on a surface of 200ha in the Vatomandry and Mahanoro regions, in partnership with native farmhands from Ilaka East. With the assistance of the company, these local growers perform the cuttings and peeling of the barks. The company also provides the required equipment to dry the barks in order to preserve the quality and the sanitary features of the products. The age of the tree, the attention given at harvest time, and season have an influence on the product value.

Phael Flor Export Organic Ginger Madagascar belongs to the same family as Turmeric and the mode of exploitation of both spices is close. Although often called “ginger root” it is actually a rhizome. Indeed, Ginger is a knotted, thick, beige underground stem. Phael Flor Export is cultivating Ginger on its own 10-acre Moramanga site, located 100 km east of the capital city. Even more eastern, in the Beforona region, other plantations are also exploited in partnership with local growers but always under the company’s supervision to make sure that the products comply with organic farming requirements. Plantings operations are carried out in November before the rainy season. The roots are dug out in July of the same year and in some case of the following one if they do not meet a proper dimension. Treatment consist on cleaning and cutting the root ins chips form and finally drying them. All those operations are conducted mechanically with appropriate machines. The yield in terms on dried finished products/raw materials is 10%.

Phael Flor Export Organic black pepper Madagascar or Piper Nigrum is represented as a perennial creeper, evergreen, which rise along a tutor tree that can reach up to 10m of height. The pepper tree is cultivated for its corn, used as spices. Phael Flor Export company collect peppercorn near local farmers in a plantatation of 100Ha, located nearest Nosy Varika (South East Coast of Madagascar), always under the company supervision in order to satisfy the organic farming requirements. Harvesting happens in two periods September to November and February to June. The peppercorns are transported in Antananarivo to be treated, where they will be carefully dried and sorted.
