AQUABAN 200 is ideal for basement walls, tunnels, manholes, belowgrade slabs and other underground structures.
- Applications & Uses
Surface Preparation - chip around leak to form a concave depression. Be sure to remove all loose debris.
Mixing & Application
- Mixing ratio: 1 part aquaban 200 to 1 part portland cement.
- Mix in small batches as needed to plug individual leaks.
- Mix by hand using rubber gloves. A round concave bottom container is recommended.
- Mix until material begins to plasticize, then immediately apply by hand to leaking area.
- Caution: once mixture has become plasticized, it will set in 30 seconds.
- Rapidly flowing leaks should be plugged with lead wool to reduce flow pressure prior to application.
- Working time may be extended by adding sand 1 to 1 to portland cement prior to mixing or by increasing aquaban 200 mix ratio to 2 to 1, or both.
- Note: for protection against peripheral seepage, aquaban 100 must be applied over the entire substrate including the area patched with aquaban 200. (see separate specification for aquaban 100).
