Pectyl S contains the combination of a macrolide and a sulfonamide, specially designed to be administered in food. Tylosin tartrate salt is characterized by its high bioavailability in the digestive tract, a necessary condition to generate optimal levels of tylosin in plasma and tissues. For its part, sulfamethoxazole is characterized by its high absorption and tissue distribution, added to a broad antimicrobial spectrum.

  • Route of Administration: Oral, mixed in food.
  • Dosage: 40 mg of tylosin + sulfamethoxazole/kg.
  • Indications of use: It is recommended in the therapeutic treatment of respiratory and digestive diseases of pigs, whose etiological agents are sensitive to the formula, such as: Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Pasteurella multocida, P. haemolytica, Bordetella bronchiseptica, Staphylococcus aureus, Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, M. hyorhinis, M. hyopneumoniae, Corynebac terium spp, Clostridium spp, Neisseria spp.
