"The history of Paradigm Labs, Inc. is a story of technical strength, customer service, and sustained long-term growth. The company came into being in 1991, when founder Terry K. Maier purchased the assets of a long-established chemical production firm in eastern Pennsylvania.

Terry’s plan was to develop and manufacture a water-based product line to replace solvent-based technologies — a commitment to green concerns that has never wavered during the life of the company. Launching biodegradable detergents and water-based coatings and flame retardants to the textile industry was an early focus. Soon the company was also serving the dry cleaning and laundering industries.

A primary driver of Paradigm’s development emerged when the company began to offer toll blending services in the ’90s, bringing on a huge expansion of product offerings to firms in multiple industries — water treatment, packaging, transportation, paper, chemicals, mold/fire remediation/restoration, metals, glass and many more. The company constantly increased laboratory services that helped its clientele develop and refine solutions perfectly suited to them.

Relationships with multinational client companies followed, and strong demand for the company’s products created the need for repeated expansions. To better serve the markets of customers large and small, the 12,000 sq. ft. Louisiana manufacturing location was opened in 2014. The most recent expansions took place at our Pine Grove, PA headquarters in 2018, with the construction of another 5,000 sq. ft. building. Plans are underway to make still more capacity with further construction in 2022.

Today, Paradigm continues to create new products and services for an international customer base — including many purchasers of personal care products that offer vital protection during pandemic times. It should be applied only on fabrics from which it will not have to be removed. RESYN 733 will crosslink to itself at relatively low temperatures making it difficult to remove from most substrates.

PARABOND BG-1000 is an adhesive designed to penetrate deeply into the fibers of flat stock cardboard to form strong joints. It is used to form boxes, cardboard pallets, displays, and other products made from cardboard or paper.

PARACRYL NY-7 is a nonyellowing, self-cross-linking acrylic copolymer emulsion designed to give a firm hand to both manmade and natural fibers. Excellent adhesion, which prevents chalking off.

Paradigm Labs Defoamer 019-B was developed for use in textile wet processing, including pad, jig, boil-off, scouring, dyeing, finishing, and printing operations. It shows excellent foam knockdown, even in low concentrations and performs well in extended runs. It is stable over a wide range of pH values as well as temperature changes.

PARABOND BG-355 is a high quality, high solids adhesive that is designed for easy application, quick penetration, and quick set time. It is used in box manufacturing, display manufacturing, paper and fabric lamination, and many other applications.

PARABOND LG-211 is an all-natural adhesive designed to glue labels to paperboard boxes, fiber drums, and other cellulosic substrates. It is formulated for high tack, relatively low viscosity and long shelf life. PARABOND LG-211 is a water based product that is safe to handle and biodegradable.

Paradigm Labs Resyn KLM is a thermoplastic polymer especially designed for textile finishing. It can be used on both natural and man-made fiber. It imparts firmness with flexibility. It gives body and weight and serves as an excellent non-curling agent on knits and back coating agent on wovens.

Paradigm Labs Antifoam WA is a scientifically formulated defoamer meeting “Food Chemical Codex” specifications and containing low silicone derivatives. The product is very active and only small quantities are necessary to maintain adequate foam control. Uses include food contact cleaning, printing, dyeing, and other applications where a small amount of silicone can be tolerated.
