PAR Group PET Sheet (polyethylene terephthalate) is a common thermoplastic that provides high dimensional stability, excellent mechanical strength and good resistance to creep. It offers resistance to chemicals, provides very low moisture absorption and is a good electrical insulator. PET sheet also performs well in wear applications and has a tough, hard surface that can be easily machined and polished. At PAR Group, we have the capability to machine polyethylene terephthalate utilizing our in-house 5 axis CNC technology. We commonly manufacture PET into a range of components such as bearings, gear wheels, control disks and insulators for electrical engineering applications. PAR Group ABS sheet is a tough, rigid plastic, with high impact strength properties. It is easy to machine, form, bond and weld and provides very good electrical insulation. ABS sheet has low water absorption and is resistant to most acids and alkalis of medium concentration.

PAR Group Nylon 66 Flame Retardant Sheet has mechanical properties similar to that of nylon 6 but with added flame retardancy. It fulfills the requirement of EN 45545-2 which is a standard specific to fire protection on railway vehicles.

PEEK sheet (polyether ether ketone) is an extremely tough, wear resistant plastic with excellent resistance to high temperatures and energy radiation. It is very dimensionally stable plastic and has a high mechanical bearing strength. PEEK plastic sheet also offers excellent chemical resistance and a high resistance to hydrolysis, even against super-heated steam.It is also electrically insulating and has good sliding properties. It is easy to machine and is FDA approved for use with food.

PAR Group Nylon 6 Cast MoS2 Filled Sheet offers improved wear resistance and a higher load bearing when compared to standard nylon 6 grades. It has high strength, stiffness and hardness with high impact and fatigue resistance. We manufacture our own brand, Corromide® CMF (Cast Moly Filled) Nylon in sheets, rods and tubes. Delrin® Acetal Homopolymer Sheet is a strong, rigid plastic with a higher mechanical strength, hardness and creep resistance than Acetal copolymer. It also has a high resistance to wear, but is not resistant to long term immersion in water in temperatures over +60°C.

PAR Group Acetal Sheet (polyoxymethylene copolymer), commonly referred to as POM-C, is a strong, rigid semi-crystalline thermoplastic that provides good sliding properties, high mechanical strength and excellent resistance to impact and wear.

Nylon 66 sheet offers a higher mechanical strength, stiffness, heat and wear resistance than nylon 6. It also has a better creep resistance but lower impact strength and is approved for food contact. Nylon 66 benefits over Nylon 6 extruded: Higher temperature rating, lower impact strength and mechanical damping. Higher wear resistance and easier to machine.

PAR Group Peek Metal Detectable Sheet is an ideal solution for machined components which are subject to multiple sterilizations, such as CIP (cleaning in place) and SIP (sterilization in place) applications. It is suitable for food approved components which require increased stiffness without the need for reinforcement. It contains very fine material additives making it detectable to most metal detector scanning equipment. PAR Group Nylon 6 Flame Retardant Sheet retains the same mechanical properties of regular nylon 6 while adding the benefit of being flame retardant. It has been tested to the new EU rail vehicle standard (DIN EN 45545-2:2013) and is rated to UL94 V-0. PAR Group Nylon 66 Glass Filled Sheet offers increased strength, stiffness, wear resistance, creep resistance and dimensional stability than standard nylon 6. It also allows for a higher short term working temperature.

PAR Group Peek Carbon Filled Sheet maintains all the significant benefits of standard PEEK material such as excellent chemical and radiation resistance, high dimensional stability and high resistance to creep. The carbon fiber reinforcement helps to improve the wear properties of the material as they are typically less abrasive than the fibers used in the glass filled alternative.
