ORFFA markets three product categories. Our historical distribution range (Top Select), is still marketed in Europe. ORFFA enjoys very long supplier relations going back over 30-40 years. More recently, we have invested in two fast growing product ranges, Excentials and Elovitals, which we nowadays roll out globally.
Elovitals is our proprietary range of standard feed additives (vitamins, minerals and amino acids) which we market in close partnership with our suppliers.

Within the group of clay minerals (silicates) there are several different types of clays, each with their own specific properties. AmmoMIN is the brand name of a clay mineral distributed by Orffa. AmmoMIN is a clinoptilolite, belonging to the zeolites one of the specific groups within the silicates. Clinoptilolites are specially selected clay minerals known for their typical molecular structure which enables the clay mineral to bind ammonia. The binding of ammonia in the gut results in better gut health since ammonia is toxic to the gut wall. Besides the binding of ammomia also moisture can be bound. The product is also used as a pelletbinder and inert carrier for premixes and concentrates.

AMMOMIN

Butyrate is known to be an important energy source for intestinal epithelial cells and has multiple beneficial effects on vital intestinal function. Butyrate is naturally produced in digestive tract of animals. For optimal support, additionally butyrate can be added to the diet. However, unprotected butyrate will be directly absorbed in the first part of the digestive tract before reaching the large intestine. Excential Butycoat is Micro-encapsulation of butyrate, which results in the targeted release of butyrate over the whole digestive tract thereby increasing the mode of action to scope of activities at various gut levels as well as effectiveness per unit active ingredient. Just as importantly, correct coating reduces the typical unpleasant smell of butyrate.

Excential Aqua-pH protects the quality of drinking water for animals by preventing the transmission and growth of pathogenic bacteria. A combination of different preservatives, trace elements and stabilizing agents show synergistic antimicrobial effects and ensure high quality clean drinking water.

Calsporin® is a sporeforming probiotic which contains Bacillus subtilis C-3102. The inclusion of Bacillus subtilis C-3102 in diets for broiler chickens and piglets has shown to improve growth and feed conversion. Bacillus subtilis C-3102 (Calsporin®) has several pathways in which it improves gut health. In the gut there is a great amount of bacteria (microflora), both good ones (beneficial bacteria) and negative ones (pathogens like Clostridia, E. Coli, Salmonella, Campylobacter). Bacillus subtilis creates an environment which is positive for the beneficial bacteria in the gut (lactobacilli) by consumption of oxygen, production of enzymes and competitive exclusion. In this way Calsporin promotes the proliferation of positive gut flora and reduces the pathogenic bacteria. The result is a healthier gut and a healthier gut means a better utilization of nutrients, less digestive disorders, healthier animals and better performance.

CAPSANTAL FS is a natural pigments that makes it possible to obtain a high level pigmentantion of the broiler skin, the egg yolk and the flesh of trout and salmon.Capsantal FS is a red pigmenter, mainly based on trans-capsanthin, obtained through a highly developed process of extraction from selected varieties of peppers (Capsicum annum), carefully processed to potentiate the natural red color of their pigments.

L-MET® 100® is a feed grade L-Methionine. Methionine is known as an essential amino acid in animal nutrition. Traditionally, methionine has been available in the form of DL-Methionine or Methionine Hydroxy Analog. Recently L-Methionine, the natural form of methionine, made an entrance into the animal feed market. The latest research highlights that L-Methionine can successfully substitute DL-Methionine, as results show a higher average daily gain and feed efficiency in both broilers and pigs. L-Met 100® has consistently shown a higher relative bioavailability than DL-Methionine.

ActiveMOS is a prebiotic rich in mannan oligosaccharides (MOS) extracted from specially selected strain of the yeast Saccharomyces Cerevisiae. ActiveMOS is a feed ingredient with a positive effect on gut health. ActiveMOS can be used in petfood and in diets for poultry and piglets.

Selenium 4000 is an Organic selenium is all about L-Selenomethionine. Supplemented selenium can be categorized as organic or inorganic. Organic selenium has an important benefit compared to inorganic selenium due to the fact that L-Selenomethionine is utilized by the body as an amino acid (in the same way as methionine) and is built into animal protein tissue. Via this L-Selenomethionine is able to build up selenium reserves in the body, which ensures a good selenium and anti-oxidant status at all times and secures efficient transfer of selenium to offspring via placenta, milk and eggs.

MacroGard is a wholly natural feed ingredient, derived from the cell wall of baker’s yeast (saccharomyces cerevisiae) and contains the highest quality beta-1,3/1,6-glucans. MacroGard® is used for companion animals as a feed ingredient for premium, superpremium and veterinarian pet food. An extensive dossier with trial results and literature data is available to substantiate the application of MacroGard® in several functional diets for cats and dogs.

CAPSANTAL EBS is a natural pigments make it possible to obtain a high level pigmentantion of the broiler skin, the egg yolk and the flesh of trout and salmon.Capsantal EBS is a yellow pigmenter, mainly based on lutein with a high percentage of trans isomers, obtained from extracts of Marigold flowers (Tagetes erecta) carefully stabilized, homogenized and saponified to give maximum intestinal absorption and biological efficiency.

Vitamin K₃ MSB 51% (menadione) this vitamin is soluble in fat and is not found in nature, K3 contributes to blood clotting and coagulation but also has a positive effect on performance and wellbeing, and the most used varieties are the MSB and MNB varieties.

Vitamin C 99% (L-ascorbic acid) is a water soluble vitamin which can be found in citrus fruits in nature, this antioxidant is accredited to stimulate the immune response and helps adapting to heat/cold stress and is available in pure, coated or the 35% monophosphate form.

They are essential to maintain health and performance, and have to be supplied as part of the overall diet. In most cases, the animal organism itself is not able to synthesize vitamins.
