Ecosorb® 1200A is added to liquid asphalt at a rate 100ppm(v) to 700ppm(v) depending on application and sulfide content. Ecosorb 1200A may be added directly to tanks containing liquid asphalt binder with good agitation. For those facilities operating liquid asphalt transport trucks, the product can be added prior to loading the liquid asphalt and the loading operation will properly mix the material, however, in line injectors are recommended. For terminal and other high volume operations, Ecosorb can be blended with in line injectors.
