In addition, nylon extractable levels can be customized, along with certain additive packages to meet customers’ specifications.  Finally, NYCOA’s NYCOSIX grades offer a unique opportunity to incorporate inorganic in-situ, introducing chemistries such as Nano-clay particles and micronized silica particles, as well as key additives that provide performance benefits across different applications.

NYCOA's family of specialty engineered specialty copolymer nylons are unique in the performance they offer, and are quite different from shorter chain nylons such as Nylon 6 or Nylon 66. NXTamid-L chemistries were designed as innovative alternatives to Nylon 11 and Nylon 12, and to meet or exceed on the high performance properties such as:flexibilitylower moisture absorptionbroad chemical resistanceIn addition, NXTamid-L have special features that make them unique for high performance applications. NY-FLEX® : Nylon block copolymers with polyetherPolyether -block -amide (PEBA) Copolymers are true elastomeric grades that are based on nylon (Polyamide) hard segment and Polyether soft segment. They deliver excellent recovery and shock-absorbing properties. NYCOA offers PEBA grades in a range of hardness values from 29-80 Shore D. Customized grades are also offered with specialized additive packages for improved thermal stability, hydrolysis resistance, UV resistance, etc.These elastomeric grades are used in sports and leisure, athletic shoes, ski boot components, and technical films. It is also used in furniture manufacturing, masterbatch applications, footwear and tubing

NYCO66 : Engineering value in PA6.6. Nylon 6.6 represents a unique chemistry with unique properties compared to nylon 6, with a higher melt temperature and differences in thermal properties, abrasion resistance, crystallinity and moisture sensitivity.  NYCOA has used its plastics engineering experience to develop a group of performance engineered nylon 6.6 polymers for our customers, which comprise the NYCO66 family.

NYCOFILL: Hardness and Rigidity With Added Special PropertiesNYCOA’s NYCOFILL products offer the versatility and resilience of Nylon as an engineered polymer, combined with added performance value from a “FILL” - a homogeneous particle co-extruded with a NYCOA nylon resin. Most commonly, this process is used for the integration of glass fiber fill into nylon.  Glass-filled (or “GF”) nylons exhibit increased structural and impact strength and rigidity, which makes the popular for replacement of a variety of materials, including metal and rubber parts. NYCOFILL grades offer varying amounts of nylon, from 5% - 50%, with varying performance features:Increased tensile strengthIncreased stiffnessAltered thermal expansion and heat deflection temperatureIn addition to GF Nylon, NYCOFILL engineered filled nylons include exotic additives, including carbon fiber and graphene.  Further, we can compound custom NYCOFILL nylon materials to include heat stabilization, lubricant or mold release, color concentrates, and more.

Nylon is known and valued for it's toughness - resistance to wear, abrasion, and many chemicals.  However, in some applications there is a need for enhanced impact modification, break resistance, and more.  NYCOTUFF products are custom-made by NYCOA for just such applications.

NY-FLEX® materials are a class of engineered thermoplastic elastomers (E-TPE) and are block copolymers of polyamide and polyether segments. The polyamide block is the hard segment and the polyether block is the soft, flexible segment.

NYCOBOND XN-287 is a flexible Nylon terpolymer suitable for extrusion and injection molding applications. It has a significantly lower melting point than traditional Nylons, excellent processability, and yields extremely tough and resilient finished articles.

NYCOTUFF 2176 is a high viscosity resin particularly suitable for extrusion processing. Its high melt viscosity and extremely good melt strength provides ease of processing for tubing, complex profile, and mandrel extrusion.

NYCOA 589 is an ultra-high viscosity Nylon 6 resin for extrusion processing. It retains good melt strength even at high processing temperatures. This trait makes it suitable for blow molding and blown film processing. Typical applications include profile extrusion, film extrusion, and blow molding.

NYCOBOND XN-187 is a flexible Nylon terpolymer suitable for extrusion and injection molding applications. It has a lower melting point than traditional Nylons, excellent processability, and yields extremely tough and resilient finished articles.

NYCOFILL® CPM 10 150 KNF Black is a heat stabilized and 15% Short Glass Fiber Reinforced Nylon 6 copolymer compound suitable for injection molding. This resin was engineered for applications requiring high stiffness, and toughness.
