- Product Overview
Zinc is an essential trace mineral involved in skeleton development and growth. Zinc (Zn) is required for the efficient functioning of body enzymes, protein, and carbohydrate metabolism during growth and reproduction. Increasing Zn status will improve immune response and overall ability of the immune system to respond to a challenge. Zinc supplementation is an efficient tool to ensure profitable aquaculture practices.
Inorganic zinc supplementation (i.e Zinc Sulfate) in practical feeding leads to reduced zinc bioavailability due to:
- High leaching rate in water
- Formation of insoluble zinc complexes with phytate or tricalcium phosphate contained in soybean meal or fish meal, respectively.
- Interactions with other minerals
This results in zinc deficiency manifested as reduced growth, poor immune response and consequently high mortality.
Mineralate Zn-26 Aqua, an organic zinc source in which zinc is chelated to methionine, has been designed to optimize zinc bioavailability, leading to enhanced health status and performance, reduced zinc excretion and better profit.
- Key Benefits
- Reduces zinc leaching in water.
- Avoids the fortmantion of non-absorbable zinc complexes and mineral interferences when feeding practical diets.
- Enhances intestinal absorption of zinc.
- Facilitates the release of zinc within body tissues.
- Reduces zinc discharge to water environment.
