Storage & Handling
- Storage Conditions
- ALCOGUM L 15 is available in bulk, intermediate bulk and 55-gallon drums. Storage tanks should be plastic, fiberglass, or 316 stainless.
- Pumps should be low-shear type, such as diaphragm or peristaltic type with all wetted parts and lines being stainless steel, plastic or Teflon®. Mild steel, copper, brass and aluminum should not be used.
- Filtering should be under low shear and volume flow conditions. Freezing should be avoided as it destabilizes the emulsion. The recommended storage temperature is 5-50°C (40-120°F).
- Dilution or pH adjustment of the product may require additional preservative to prevent biological growth. Keep containers tightly sealed to the prevent emulsion from air drying and forming a film.
